從幾位影響力玩家身上回望#
回顧書中提到的幾位人物，看見他們生命中共同的「全心投入」：
- Karen Kaplan（第 6 章）：當年只想找份輕鬆的工作邊念法學院，被指派為公司「面孔與聲音」後，她決定做「receptionist 的 CEO」。30 年後，她成為 Hill Holliday 的董事長兼 CEO——並有能力把同樣的機會給予他人。
- Paulo Büttenbender（第 1、7 章）：聽得比別人久的 SAP 軟體架構師。同事說：「Everyone says they need Paulo.」他也因此走遍了倫敦、雪梨、印度、沙烏地阿拉伯、加拿大洛磯山脈、阿根廷鄉間。

高貢獻度環境是一種：
- 人們帶來最好的思考、做最好的工作

All In ≠ Exhausted#
前 KPMG 主席兼 CEO Eugene O’Kelly 在罹癌後反思：「Too often, commitment was measured by how many hours you were willing to work. But commitment is best measured not by the time one is willing to give up, but by the energy one wants to put in.」
兩種看似相近、實則對立的環境：

電影《阿甘正傳》開場是一根羽毛在風中飛舞、最終落在阿甘腳邊。Tom Hanks 反思這個畫面：「Our destiny is only defined by how we deal with the chance elements to our life… Here is this [feather] that can land anywhere and it lands at your feet.」
阿甘的母親說：「I happen to believe you make your own destiny.」
